Amy Gillick

  

Currently Assistant Professor of Music, Amy Gillick holds a bachelor’s degree in music from California State University, Long Beach and her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Gillick has taught at Azusa Pacific University, Moorpark College, Concordia University, UCLA, The Orange County School of the Arts, and Idyllwild. Dr. Gillick played has principal bassoon in the Bakersfield Symphony, and in the Santa Monica Symphony. She has appeared with numerous other orchestras, including the Pasadena Symphony, Long Beach Opera, Roanoke Symphony, and many more. She has performed with several highly-acclaimed artists, including Laurendo Almeida, Christopher Parkening, Joseph Kalichstein, Robert Levin, Anton Nel, Edo DeWaart, Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, Steven Hough, Hugh Wolff, Edgar Meyer, Joshua Bell, Richard Carpenter, Herbie Hancock, and Wayne Shorter.
