I'm a first year PhD CS HCI student. I moved here from Ecuador, my home country. I have lived abroad several times: From 2 cities in Ecuador, Little Rock in Arkansas, Barcelona in Spain and now I'm calling Blacksburg home. I feel that I have a wide (though still mostly western) perspective on the world. I'm also married and a parent of a young child. I feel my experiences with technology have been influenced by all of these factors which leads me to think that the intersection of social sciences and technology are an exceptionally interesting area of study.
